Southwest Discount Program
Travel Services is also excited to announce our new Southwest Discount Program. Southwest Airlines has offered Caltech a 5% savings on tickets issued to or from Los Angeles, Burbank, Ontario or John Wayne /Orange County airports. These savings are for any travel dates that are booked beginning December 15th, 2015 through June 30, 2016. If you use the Concur Online Booking tool to book travel in CardQuest, you will see Southwest Airlines as a preferred vendor with the savings automatically shown. If you utilize CTP’s (Corporate Travel Planners) full service agent, the savings will also be applied.

Travel Policy
Caltech recognizes and appreciates the efforts of those traveling on its business. Travelers should understand Caltech’s travel process, be comfortable while traveling and receive timely reimbursement. At the same time, travel costs must be incurred in accordance with the policy under which Caltech operates.
Before You Depart
Caltech business travel requires considerable planning to ensure the best experience during your trip and after when reconciling expenses. Be sure to check with your division/department to determine the requirements necessary to initiate your travel arrangements (e.g. specific approval requirements, Caltech procurement options, etc.)
